wheelchair accessible excursions

This next winter our large family is heading to Nassau, Grand Turks and Caicos, and San Juan on the Caribbean Princess. One of our family members is handicapped and in a wheelchair. We really want to enjoy the islands, but there does not seem to be many excursions available for folks in wheelchairs. We would love some suggestions from experiences some of you may have had. Thank you for your help.

The best places in San Juan are not wheelchair friendly.  The other ports are more flat but wheelchair accessible vans are very rare,  If a passenger can get out of the wheelchair and get into a vehicle you will have a much better chance as the chair could be folded up and stored while moving from place to place.

There is a forum titled Disabled Cruise Travel and one called Ports of Call that may give you more information.  The level of disability & the equipment needed will be the deciding factors as to what will be available.  Check with the excursion desk when you are onboard for options,
