Rare Nemanoxer Posted January 28 #1 Share Posted January 28 (edited) Hi fellow cruisers. My cruise in October 2024 from FLL will be part of a long trip through several states. By its starting date, I will have traveled CA and HI. You can imagine that, on a Princess cruise, I do not want to dress and look like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. I could use one suitcase for the CA and HI part and another one, with better clothing, for the cruise. The second one should rather not have been carried around for weeks when I board, so I was thinking I could just courier / FedEx it to my FLL hotel before the cruise and pick it up there. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone know hotels accepting this? Any constructive input would be appreciated, thank you. CruiserBruce Posted January 28 #2 Share Posted January 28 I would approach it from the direction of contacting a hotel, tell them you will be staying there on a given day or dates, and can you ship something to them. Hotels routinely accept packages for people who are going to do presentations in their meeting rooms.
SoloAlaska Posted February 18 #3 Share Posted February 18 I’ve never had an issue with this with hotels that cater to business people. I often send things to hotels but don’t send them too early since they can get buried and difficult to find in shipping and receiving departments. I usually target arrivals 2-3 days within the US and 5-7 days from Canada to the US. A budget hotel could be different. Call a prospective hotel ahead of booking.
