Cruise cash and gift cards

I'm aware that you can use a gift card before your cruise to put into cruise cash. Can you turn that into cash at the casino through a slot machine without being charged 3%?  Also, can i bring more than one $500.00 gift card with me and turn it into cash via a slot machine without a 3% charge?

I'd prefer to turn $1500 that way into cash for gambling because of the discount.

If you buy cruise cash I think there is a small fee so I would wait until I got on board. I do not remember slot machines having a 3% fee but it has been about 5 years since I converted a gift card to cash.

It is What I did in September. Go to the kiosk and load your gift card(s) then go play the slots. I'm doing that also on horizon in a few months with the 3 gift cards from the Newegg deal.  Hopefully horizon has a smoke free casino area.

There is no surcharge at slots in any case.

 

If you try to get cash into a slot machine and then immediately go to the cashier or table to get chips in an effort to subvert the 3% fee, you may find your account deactivated. Remember you are in international waters, they know where the cameras are. They know how to bust kneecaps with no blood. Just pay the 3% fee. As a general rule casinos are not fond of loopholes.
