Onboard credit is based on the number of nights and the cabin category and on whatever sale Celebrity is having when you book.  It is not as generous as it's been in the past.

But I don't understand your comment below. OBC from Celebrity depends on the particular cruise fare, sailing and Celebrity promotions. If the cruise fare you choose to book your cruise has OBC, you'll get it, you don't have to ask for it. By the same token just because you ask for OBC doesn't mean you'll get it, it doesn't work that way  It has to be part of the cruise fare that you're choosing.

No need to ask for it.  It is either included in your booking under whatever promotion you are booking under or it is not.

Sunsetme, did you book through a travel agent or directly with Celebrity? Was it booked on board?  Without knowing more about your booking we can’t tell you if anything unusual it happened. We can tell you that your Captains Club level has nothing to do with onboard credit.
