mand75 Posted February 2 #1 Share Posted February 2 Hi everyone, I made a cruise change today and paid my $250 (for 5 people change fee). Stupidly, I boooked the incorrect week for the future spring break cruise (my husband and I are both teachers and we have to do the cruise during the school spring break, no options. If I call first thing tomorrow and beg, do you think they would waive the change fee for me and let me switch it to the following week? What could I say that might help! Thanks,
thesmiths Posted February 2 #2 Share Posted February 2 All you can do is call, be honest and ask them to check with a supervisor. I've done it before and had them switch with no cost and then charge me when I did it again.
mz-s Posted February 2 #3 Share Posted February 2 Just explain the situation and ask. Worst case the answer is the same as it was before you called. In the future I would recommend you work with a PVP or a TA. While they alone don't have power to waive fees, sometimes they know the right manager to ask to get permission to waive fees 😉
StephPS79 Posted February 2 #4 Share Posted February 2 I cancelled a cruise by accident once, oof! I called and they reinstated it for me with no penalty. All you can do is call and be honest and ask nicely, and hope for the best.
Rare Haljo1935 Posted February 3 #5 Share Posted February 3 (edited) I've had it go both ways, but definitely worth a call. Please update us on the outcome. We're rooting for you! Edited February 3 by Haljo1935 Typo
