Changes to Pearl Cruise 14th June - 24th June 2024

Recommended Posts

Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners,

We have important information regarding your upcoming sailing on board Norwegian Pearl on June 14, 2024. Travel Partners are asked to share this information with impacted guests.

Due to the restrictions on large cruise ships to sail into the Venice Lagoon and dock at the usual piers, large cruise ships calling to Venice are required to anchor outside of the lagoon and utilize tender boats to access the Port of Venice. While we have made every effort possible to maintain these calls to Venice, the tender operation and overall experience this provides our guests has fallen short of the standard we aim to deliver. As a result, we have modified Norwegian Pearl's itinerary as shown below.

We recognize that Venice is one of the world's greatest destinations, cherished by both our guests and crew, and as such acknowledge the inconvenience and frustration this disruption may cause. We appreciate the understanding of our loyal guests and travel agent partners.

Sorry ..... we did the very long tender day into Venice on our Star cruise in April.  There is separate thread about it so won't go into it here.  We flew into Venice two days early and then took the train to Trieste morning of the cruise.  We dearly loved Venice and want to go back.

It figures that on NCL website the itinerary for this cruise is still being sold as the original itinerary..... no pop up saying itinerary has been changed.

This is what really makes people angry! This and misleading people by advertising Trieste as Venice. Two lovely but separate places.

We plan to be in Venice 2 days prior to our cruise leaving Nov 1 from Trieste. We are planning to take the train also. Do you have any information or hints to help? We're thinking of walking from the train station to the port if the weather is agreeable. Is that a good idea? It looks like a short distance if it would be safe and easy to find. Thanks in advance for any advice!

It is very simple to catch the train to Trieste. It is an easy walk if you don't have any mobility issues or a crazy amount of luggage. Also it is very safe in Trieste. Or if you choose to take a taxi it will cost you around 10 Euros.

Thanks so much! That's what we'll do!

They changed the itinerary for the Dawn Oct 7 sailing also. It's irritating because I booked a smaller ship because I thought they had the situation figured out with Venice being off limits to ships. They also changed the Sicily port on our trip/
