Bahamas rears its ugly head

Speaking as someone from the UK, NYC is probably the city I've felt safest walking around at night, closely followed by Washington DC. New Orleans is a great city but once we were off the main streets, it got quite intimidating. I guess you could say the same about London or a number of British cities. I'll be in Miami in April for a few days before our cruise and I'm already hearing scare stories about the city!
