Booking RCI Cruise While on Celebrity

We normally book our future Celebrity cruises while on a Celebrity cruise. We are cruising on Celebrity again in a couple of weeks and are looking to book an RCI cruise - I understand this can be booked while onboard. Does anyone know what the perks/benefits are of doing so? OBC and reduced deposit?

It is the exact same benefits as if you were to book on board a Royal ship.

 

balconies and Below get a $100 per person reduced deposit.  JS and above must pay the full deposit amount.

 

OBC varies by length of sailing and cabin type

Thanks! I’ve never been on a Royal ship so have no idea what the normal offer there is.

Can either be applied as a savings or as OBC

In my experience they are not as well versed in Royal Caribbean as they are in Celebrity, so you really need to know exactly what you want. They can book it, but they can’t really give you much guidance regarding ships, perks, etc.

Take the OBC

 

Much easier to reprice the booking and keep the OBC if the price drops.

Does this work in reverse? OBC offered if booking an open booking for Celebrity on RCI?
