Can I take a bus to the Klimpton then walk to the beach for chair rentals?

I am looking for a not so crowded part of the beach that rents chairs and umbrellas. Does near the Klimpton fit that? I like Cemetary but no chairs. Thanks for any help.

Facilities equals crowds, at least on a cruise ship day.  If you want chair rentals and such, you are going to have other cruise passengers to deal with.

 

You can absolutely take a bus to the Kimpton, but since it will drive right past Public Beach and the other SMB beach access points, why would you?  Just take the bus or a taxi shuttle directly to the beach of your choice.

bookbabe, what beach or access point would you recommend? I will be visiting on a cruise with a buddy. We are just looking to maybe buy a few local beers at a store and head to 7 mile beach. Not sure where we could go to hang out and maybe rent chairs. Can we bring beer to the beach?

You can likely BYO to any of the public beach access points, with restroom facilities and chair rentals that would be Public Beach.  None of the other beach access points along SMB have facilities, AFAIK.  There’s access points every couple hundred yards, if you decide you are okay with just throwing down a towel.

 

If you are okay with a beach club to buy drinks at rather than BYO, you’ve got Coral Beach.

Or one of the dozens of bars or restaurants along SMB if you just want to hang out and drink watching the waves as opposed to actually swimming.
