Question about purchasing internet

Hi everyone….i am  Diamond guest but haven’t sailed Royal For awhile.

 

i want to purchase internet……but I get one day free as a perk.  So if I wait and buy

it on board, will they give me the free day and just charge for the other days?

You can use the free day, then buy a rest of cruise package.  But, if you need/want internet for the entire cruise, it is cheaper to buy the package pre-cruise (via cruise planner).

If you want WiFi for the whole cruise is it much cheaper to give up your Diamond discount and purchase a package before your board.

 

onboard prices are crazy and would negate any benefit to using your one day discount…

For short cruise it makes sense to use a free day and buy the rest.. otherwise it makes serve to by package pre cruises

The breakeven point depends on the discount in the planner, but it's around a 7-day sailing for a couple (use one for the second day and the second one to discount the remaining days package).
