Vibe Beach Club

Recommended Posts

ten days on the getaway is currently going for $309.

fourteen days on the prima at $329 is standard.

vibe pricing varies, based on the duration of the trip, but also the ship. NCL has placed the ships into three pricing "buckets."

breakaway, getaway and escape are the lowest priced, with 7 days at $249 and 10+ days at $309

followed by bliss, encore and joy, with 7 days at $259 and 10+ days at $319.

and the prima and viva (and presumably aqua) are the most expensive, with 7 days currently at $269 and 10+ days at $329.

all the ships have $20 per day incremental pricing along the way, until they cap out at 10+ days.

I'm not sure where you get your info but I just posted right before you that I just paid $289 for 10 days on Getaway!

My sailing is in 34 days.

On your same cruise and I paid $289 as well.  Sounds like we got in before a price increase.  Nice!

yes, indeed. i was responding to your post and i quoted your price.

you pay the price in effect at the time you purchase, not the day you sail.

my info comes from a conversation with NCL, make of that what you will.

the prices apparently went up, ever so slightly, rather recently.

current price on the getaway for 10+ days is $309.

you may have paid less; that's the way price increases work.

current price on the viva for 10+ days is $329.

whether $319 or $329... it's a great price for a 19-day cruise, as you can amortize the cost over a much longer period. they charge the same for a ten day cruise, as they do for nineteen days.

day passes, when available in the past, have usually been $99. not sure if they are still offered, but they were as recently as january.

i also think the different prices for different ship classes is new... i think it used to be the same price across the fleet, but i could be wrong.

As for fair skinned and not wanting the sun, I know Viva's Vibe had shade either by umbrella or some permanent structures.  I assume Prima is the same.  We also don't like to be in the sun and we had no problem being comfortable in Viva's Vibe.

How is the shade situation in the various Vibe’s across the fleet? I booked the thermal suite instead of Vibe on Getaway in March since several days coming & going from NYC would be cold (which, side note, was SO worth it, the thalassotherapy pool is amazing). I did get a quick tour of the Vibe and loved it, except that there were hardly any umbrellas. I was kind of surprised and wondered if that was by design or demand. Do they have additional umbrellas available by request?

Some have more than others.  The umbrellas can be problematic when at sea because of the wind.  The larger VIbes that span the width of the ship are easier to find shade in.   If you enjoy the spa then it sounds like you made the right choice.  For us, we don't like the idea of being inside, so the spa is not attractive.

How does NCL charge for the Vibe on a B2B cruise of 12 and 8 days.  My reservation # for both cruises on the Escape are listed together on "MY NCL."

you're saying you have one reservation number and that your itinerary is therefore 20 days? well, technically, i'd say that should be the 10+ day price, if it's booked as one reservation, but i don't see that happening.

you'll likely get charged for 12 days and then again for 8 days. i'm pretty sure they will treat it as two separate cruises for vibe purchases. but that's just a guess.

have you gone into your reservation and looked? is the vibe available under "entertainment." if so, it should show a price.

They are listing the additional cost for my Vibe reservation as $309 per person.

I suppose to be sure, it would be wise to call and pay direct for the Vibe instead of online.

How did you get your B2B listed as 1 reservation?

While I was on a B2B cruise on The Getaway and purchased a CRUISENEXT with the cruise consultant.  At the same time I booked another B2B cruise with the cruise consultant.  She sent the information/reservation to my cruise TA and he told me it was booked as one reservation. My Cruise TA was surprised to see it in that format.

I called NCL today and the NCL person said my Cruise TA did it correctly.  I called NCL because when I went to book the Vibe in "Entertainment", it came up as $309 / person and the NCL rep said it was the correct price.

I wanted to make sure it was correct and it was.

"MY NCL" even shows the itinerary as a 20-day cruise listing the two cruises as one. Thanks to the information from UKstages, he/she was correct and I'm in the Vibe for my next 20 day B2B cruise next February for the $309 price!🙂

that's fantastic.

there are advantages for many folks with latitudes or casino status to book B2Bs as separate reservations... more FAS meals, double the number of free status meals, double OBC and so forth... but getting a ten day price for the vibe for a twenty day cruise is a great deal. enjoy!

I have always heard that Vive Beach Passes are only sold first come first served after boarding but many of you are saying you purchased prior to boarding. We are booked on the Aqua next year, any advice for pre purchasing these would be greatly appreciated!

Available 120 days before sailing online.

They are generally available long before 120 days.  People have purchase them a year or more before their cruise date.  (perhaps you are confusing dining reservations which are 120 for most people)

Our escape cruise isnt til feb 1, 2025 and I purchased ours Feb 4, 2024...   If you wait til 120 days before, they very well may be sold out at that point if a smaller vibe like I think the escape has.

As soon as you book your cruise,  if the TA or CAS or NCL agent working with you will not do it for you,  go to the entertainment section on your reservation on NCL's website and see if Vibe is available to be booked.  Our past two cruises I was able to do this on the Prima in Feb 2023 for Dec 2023 cruise and on the Escape in Feb 2024 for our Dec 2024 cruise.  In both cases I was able to book the Vibe on the same day our cruise was booked.

Don't rely on others.  In some cases they may be up to date on Vibe booking policy but in our case working with CAS the agent said we could not book vibe until closer to cruise date.  Both cases they were wrong.  If you book far enough ahead you should be able to get the Vibe with no problem.  If you book closer to sail date I would check every day for availability in the event somebody cancels.  I would not wait until on board or rely on others for help.

Got great advice here, called our NCL guy and had him add it to our Jan 2025 cruise. I had to pay up front, was not able to just add it to our reservation.  Feeling good about having it booked and not having to worry about it!  Thanks to all who encouraged this perk - I’m looking forward to Shot O’Clock already!
