Rare jam19872016 Posted March 21 Author #855 Share Posted March 21 There are literally zero people at the night club. There was one, but they are still doing Latin music so I left.

Rare jam19872016 Posted March 21 Author #857 Share Posted March 21 That show was unexpectedly amazing. I throughly enjoyed it and again the dancers were mind blowing. It was also indeed a bit raunchy. I don't think anyone would find it offensive, but not enjoyable for someone not interested in seeing a show with overtly sexual content. There were no innuendos here, they were blunt in what they meant 😆. The outfits worn are environmentally friendly as they will require very little detergent to launder. I didn't see any pineapples but there were men dancing with woman. Men dancing with men. Men dancing with a woman and man. And just one big pile of men and women...."dancing". Cheeky fun indeed. It also had a lot of nice visual effects throughout and top notch choreography. The singsers were extremely talented as well. 3

Not sure I would know if they told me it was clotted cream if they were being truthful or not 😆. No cakes, just the apricot belinger because I wanted to stay away from things that looked like they could be part of the regular buffet. The plan worked well. You would know clotted cream. Because of its very high fat content it spreads like butter. Whipped cream is made out of double or whipping cream, both of which have lower fat content, but the main thing is because it is whipped, a lot of it is air not cream.

I just wish the FDA would stop messing with imported wine. You can love a wine you drank in Europe, come home and buy it (identical label) and it will sub par. I asked several knowlegable sellers what was going on and they told me that it's the FDA import regulations. Why can they not understand that wine is alcoholic, does not carry bacteria and, therefore, it is not necessary to mandate adding preservatives to it? Cups of wine have been passed from person to person around church congregations for centuries for goodness sake. Much the same story with why beer is so much better in Europe. So, does something have to be added to the wine before it is allowed to be imported? Or taken out? Or what?

You wouldn't put real whipped cream in a jar and ship it overseas either for obvious reasons. I believe it keeps fairly well, given its similarity to butter. It was classical piano music. My goodness. Going to sit in Rendezvous for now, there is a duo playing at 10, I'm not sure they will be playing anything I care for but it is my only choice. This is definitely a classical cruise crowd. When the shows are on, nothing else is scheduled. What could be lovelier than classical piano music? It is the first thing you’ve mentioned that I might recognise. 😀😀

Rare hcat Posted March 21 #864 Share Posted March 21 Cunard gave us a list of which nights were fancier and what to wear...Shows were very good.. West End talent. Loved the Planetarium on QM 2 and the Spa area. Afternoon TEA was amazing and slightly dressy! But we usually stick with X!

Rare jam19872016 Posted March 21 Author #867 Share Posted March 21 Good morning. I was sleeping in a bit today for the first time and then the alarm went off. I've done long cruises before but can't say I've ever experienced two safety drills before. Today is Cozumel, our final port of call and for the first time since 2014 I am docked at the downtown terminal. I may go back out for a walk after doing some shopping with mom if it is not to terribly hot out.

The food in general was all very good. Most of the entertainment was not really geared to me as both an American and someone born after the Eisenhower administration, but it was still livelier at night than this ship by kilometers. I sort of wonder if some of the liveliness (or not) of a ship is sort of based on who the Cruise Director is? All of the Celebrity ships I have been on have been quite lively, but they all also had younger, latin, male CDs who seem to enjoy party dancing. I have never sailed on a ship with Sue as a CD, but based on her YouTube channel and interviews I've seen, she seems to have more of a calmer lounge act vibe to her personality. I am thinking the different personalities might influence the entertainment schedule somewhat?

Rare jam19872016 Posted March 21 Author #873 Share Posted March 21 Back on the ship now. My mom forgot to turn her scooter off and so it was dead this morning. She had to walk so she is a little worn out now but she got some more shopping in. Definitely don't stop at the first stores, the prices are insane.

I am thinking the different personalities might influence the entertainment schedule somewhat? That is a possibility. I'd be interested to learn the CD role on Celebrity. On Carnival they are the face, but the activities are planned by the Entertainment Director. Sue is the only CD in Celebrity I have ever noticed and she is everywhere but then there is an activities Director also so I wonder which one is the planner? I also wonder what the crowd onboard thinks? I'm obviously not the demographic. On Cunard, I was often bored at night, but the ship was lively and raving about the Entertainment. It wasn't for me, but the demographic on the ship mostly seemed to enjoy it. The younger folks, not so much but we were in the minority. Here, the ship is mostly quiet by 9. I have not heard many comments either way good or bad and they are some younger people on here.
