Getting to the port

Hi, iam wondering what is the best way to get to the port from my hotel on sea wall in Galveston on departing day?   Should I have Uber or a taxi reserved?

The hotel might have a provided taxi/van-pool service.  Usually pretty cheap - like $8-10 a head one way.  Otherwise uber

I'd go ahead and schedule an Uber.  I've seen the hotel shuttles backed up /people waiting.  Obviously, I don't even know what hotel you're using, but I'd go for a sure thing.

In September, we stayed at the Hilton Home2Suites/Tru on the seawall. We pre-booked an Uber to take us to the port (4 people). When I called before we arrived, they said they had no shuttle. When we checked in, I think I saw a flyer for a 3rd party shuttle you could call on the front desk, but didn't seem like it was the least bit coordinated by them.

What is the  best, most reliable way return trip IAH to Galveston Cruise port…Uber, Galveston Shuttle, Galveston Express or any other shuttle services ?  I read Ubers are in short supply on disembarkation day at the port and Uber drivers have cancelled reservations, so a little leary of using Uber. We have a flight at 3pm.  TIA
