exlondoner Posted March 22 #1 Share Posted March 22 I have only recently noticed this. What do we think it is? It is off the Lobby on Deck 1. Could it be literally a room for the very popular art classes? Apologies in advance if it has been explained already and I’ve missed it.
bluemarble Posted March 22 #2 Share Posted March 22 (edited) Here's a brief page about the QA drawing room on the Cunard website. https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/activity-types/bars-and-lounges/drawing-room Edited March 22 by bluemarble

It is a sort of second library among other things. It should be fun watching the waves from there. Edited March 22 by exlondoner
sfred Posted March 22 #4 Share Posted March 22 On my recent fantasy RMS Mauretania TA crossing, I went to the first class drawing room. It looked like this. I'm sure QA's will be very similar? 🙂 3

abdullahhoneymoon Posted March 23 #6 Share Posted March 23 I don't know if it's just me, or if they actually removed the rendering, but this is what it looked like when it was up. I believe it just went up in the last week or two. Maybe it wasn't ready for release. Not quite as fancy as the RMS Mauretania... 🙂
Rare Pushpit Posted March 23 #7 Share Posted March 23 In an old PDF version of the deck plans for QA it was shown as "The Changing Rooms", which seemed sensible given the spa and gym locations, however a bit too big for it really. So perhaps there was a change on this one.

Rare NE John Posted March 23 #10 Share Posted March 23 Back I the day, it was the women’s withdrawing room.
Rare david,Mississauga Posted March 23 #11 Share Posted March 23 One of my favourite rooms on the Union-Castle Line's RMS Windsor Castle was the First Class drawing room. It was usually a quiet place which was used for the occasional function. The portrait of The Queen Mother was an original. HM had launched the ship. See Figure 5.1. https://repository.londonmet.ac.uk/6107/1/BD-Manuscript_McKay-for-REF-2021.pdf
