sailing canary Posted March 22 #1 Share Posted March 22 I'm on Sky Princess out of Southampton later this year. What sockets are in the cabin? UK, US, Europe, Australia????? Just want to know how many adaptors to take for various devices. I know there are USB sockets, but they're no use for USB C cables. Thanks
Mcruisin Posted March 23 #2 Share Posted March 23 We were on Sky this past January. Queen bed setup. Each lamp had a standard USB port, but no outlets near the bed area or the sofa in a Mini-Suite room. Plus one of the USB ports did not work. Only outlets available were near desk area. Two US outlets and one Euro as I recall. Also, just an FYI, there are adapters to go from USB-C to a standard USB port. We got them on Amazon. Also a battery pack may be convenient for sofa or balcony locations.

Guest Snaxmuppet Posted March 23 #4 Share Posted March 23 Another thing worth noting is that if you are taking an extension it cannot be one with surge protection.

Martha1974 Posted March 23 #7 Share Posted March 23 When we sailed on Sky Princess ex-Southampton last September there was also a US to UK adaptor already plugged into one of the outlets above the desk. We wondered if it had been left by a passenger and missed by the cabin steward, but then found a card stating that it was provided for our convenience and there would be a $25 charge if we took it home! Never seen that before so not sure if it is now standard practice.

Harder to lose than the little adapters and not much more expensive. 1

I just listened to a YouTube video which showed that they have both USB and USB-C outlets on the Sun Princess.
