Casting from Device to TV in Cabin?

Recommended Posts

I"m not planning on doing this often on my upcoming cruise, but can I cast to the TV in the cabin from my iThings? I'll have a VPN.

Hi

There is no way to activate the TV to do it, you can't access the settings section or main menu of the TV. We were on Grandeur in Jan/Feb and as an experiment I took a Samsung remote control with me in the hope that I could access the input section so I could link my MacBook but even that did not work. System seems pretty tightly shut to just Regent system.

My husband and I successfully watched programs I downloaded on my iPad on the Explorer, Splendor and Mariner. We brought a Samsung remote, and HBDI cable and a USB C-Hub (we used the Anker 555 USC-C Hub (8 in 1). I can’t speak for Grandeur since we have not sailed on her yet.  A longer HBDI cable is nice so you can stay seated to control your device while seated.
