Cruising with a toddler

Has anyone used italytours.eu from Naples when travelling with a toddler? We would love to see Sorrento, Positano and maybe Pompei but unsure if any day tours in this port will be suitable with our 18 month old. Thank you

Regardless of the provider, I think that Sorrento, Positano and Pompei in one day is too much for most adults, not to mention a toddler.  Pompei would be a waste of time for a young child, you would have to carry them pretty much the entire time as it would be unsafe for them to try and walk.

You could easily take a ferry from the cruise port in Naples directly to Sorrento on your own.  If you decide you'd also like to see Positano you can get there by ferry, then return to Sorrento and on to Naples by ferry as well.

I agree with the above. Using a stroller in Pompeii would be practically impossible. And depending on when you will be there, it will be hot and crowded. Not to mention the houses are often close quarters and you are not supposed to touch wall surfaces, etc. -- difficult to keep a toddler from doing that.

I would probably stick with just doing one place, and perhaps for a half day. Getting somewhere by ferry might be easier/more fun than driving.

i agree with the above that this full day tour with crowds and possibly high temperatures would be exhausting for most adults never mind a toddler. And have you checked with any company that there is no minimum age limit, as it is possible that  not every company would accept such a young child, especially if the tour included paying customers who are not members of your immediate family. And secondly, there is a legal requirement in Italy that children under 12 years must use a car seat appropriate to their height and weight. Will this be supplied or will you pay extra?

There is a possibility that you might, just might, be able to book a tour for only yourselves and your child, together  with the  mandatory car seat, but expect your day to cost $$$.

It would be helpful to other families cruising with such small children in the future, if you were to kindly post about  any minimum age requirement on tours with italytours.eu, (assuming there is one) also if they can supply the mandatory car seats.
