Retired08 Posted March 31 #1 Share Posted March 31 Flying into SD airport early morning of our cruise. Suggestions on best transportation to the cruise terminal, taxi, Uber, etc.? What is an approximate cost? Thanks

KeepCalmBearOn Posted April 1 #3 Share Posted April 1 Taxi or Uber, it is darn near walkable, a little more than 2 miles.
Dobby36 Posted April 1 #4 Share Posted April 1 You mentioned flying in “early morning”. Depending on your departure you may have hours before you can board or drop bags. If your luggage amount and mobility allows, insider taking a taxi/uber to Seaport Village and walking around for a bit before heading to board. There aren’t many breakfast spots cohere except Malibu Farm restaurant, but it’s a ni e walk along the waterfront if you need to kill some time…
julia Posted April 1 #5 Share Posted April 1 I cringe when folks say this is "walkable"... if you fancy shlepping across 8 lanes on Harbor Drive (extremely busy road). Yes, the airport and cruise port are close, but it's still a taxi ride. $15-$18 at most. As mentioned, you will not be able to drop bags until the porters are ready to accept them (perhaps 10am or so). You can however, be dropped at any close hotel and wait in their lobby, or go to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. Arrow at photo top is SD airport, circle is cruise terminal. I have walked off the airport property many times. I used to do my airport parking at the Sheraton across the street. But that was in the days before Uber, which is so cheap, that is how I get to and from Lindbergh now. Which is why I advised the OP to use Uber (or a taxi).
