debway Posted April 25 #1 Share Posted April 25 Hi all - going on our first Windstar cruise in October 2024 and very excited. Will be on the Star Breeze on the 7-day Tahiti cruise. Deep in research mode currently and saw the mini bar beer list. Does anyone know if there are other beer options available anywhere on the ship? We love IPAs and pale ales. TIA! elklemi Posted April 25 #2 Share Posted April 25 I sailed Tahiti few years ago and all I remember is the Hinano Tahiti beer which I really enjoyed. Hope you find what you are looking for on board.
Pudgesmom Posted April 25 #3 Share Posted April 25 In my opinion, Windstar has “missed the boat” on beer. There are so many wonderful IPAs, lagers and pale ales available today. The beers on the ship are pretty much limited to the old American standbys. I like a good lager, not the watered down American beers. They used to have Grolsch sometimes, but it was not available on our cruise in March. I think this is an area for vast improvement.
Nearpost345 Posted April 25 #4 Share Posted April 25 Canned guinness is about as exciting as it gets. The offerings are so bland that the local offerings like Hinano become quite appealing. Hinano is pleasant but more of a lager than an IPA

Once in a while it seems like they provision locally and those are usually good but it's still pretty limited.
Misty Morning Posted May 5 #6 Share Posted May 5 Just got off the Spirit from Barcelona to Rome and during the cruise, they went out and stocked on some Spanish and Italian craft beers as we went along. They also bought 3 different Spanish wines that were offered at a very reasonable price.
