Absolutely love that. Some of the best concerts ever were his in Frisco. My mom is a huge fan and her and I made everyone of them.

 

We spent a night after a cruise at Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach...was wishing for more time that next morning.

You might already be there by now, but Carmel car service provides rides from LGA to midtown Manhattan for around $50. I have used them for about 20 years and they provide consistently good service. 
 

So sorry to hear about your dad. I know he shared the love of the ocean with you, so you know he will be with you in spirit. I lost my mom this past January and the stages of grief come and go.  I don’t have any great advice for getting through it, other than try to remember the happy times.

I knew we had more in common than teaching!  I come from a huge family of Parrotheads. My daughter and I have stayed at the Hollywood Beach Margaritaville...AWESOME place!  We're considering making it an annual mother/daughter trip (down from Virginia). It's not cheap, but it sure is special!

yes!!! @HelloItsMeB and I stayed down at the Diplomat for a work thing she had (I was the eye candy that hung out in the pool while she worked, and we hit Margaritaville and the boardwalk before we left and it was awesome! I’d love to go back! I lived in Ft. Lauderdale and worked in Miami for five years and just never spent much time in Hollywood for some reason- it’s great!

Okay so the rooftop bar is nuts. The bar itself is slammed and it’s LOUD. Its fleet week and that is verrrrry obvious too. I’ll come back and see if it mellows. Let’s check the Landshark (pool) bar next!
