Arriving early at Southampton

Hi All,

 

I like getting on the boat AEAP. What are they like at Southampton for this? Does anyone have experience of it?

At Marseille our time was 1pm, we arrived at 10am and were on the ship by quarter past 10....so just checking.

Which ship ? what itinerary ?

Is it a cruise from UK ? or a circular european cruise ?

Cruise from UK, they have to clear the ship of stragglers before letting new passengers onboard.

We had a 1 pm YC embarkation but left our hotel at 11 am and had checked in and on board by 1125

It's on Virtuosa, UK boarding only so it'll be all off/all on.

10am is likely to be too early, but you can normally expect boarding from 11am.

Perfect thank you! Check in time is 1:30 but fingers crossed we can get on around the time you say.

I've never had anyone check the time Southampton, or any other port.

Boarding in Southampton is so quick. A few weeks ago, we had a time of 1pm, arrived at 11am and were onboard at 11.10
