How does this work?  You can just show up at the complimentary restaurants and they will seat you?  This can be done anytime during the set dining times?  Thanks.

You are assigned to one restaurant (depending on the ship, either a dedicated room for Aurea or a section of one restaurant), and just show up when you want to dine. You are usually given a window, like 5:30 to 8:30, etc.

That was our experience on Seashore in April.  We would show up whenever we wanted and our table, or 1 right next to it was waiting.  We had the same servers every night sitting in the same area.

This is a very big deal for us because we like to have longer, old-school cruise dinners.

A cruise line that emphasizes shuffling their passengers from one specialty restaurant to another, even if included in the fare, is not a cruise line for us.

I'm glad MSC has two ways to make this easy: Aurea and Yacht Club.

There is a restaurant assigned to MyChoice dining (or area of a restaurant) that you can show up any time the restaurant is open. The restaurant host will try to seat you with the same servers (and even the same table) each night. For us, by Night 2, the servers have our routine and drinks down and they are serving them before asked. Now,,, we are creatures of habit and normally eat at 6:00 pm every night. The restaurants are normally not that busy,,,, so may be it was easier to seat us.
