LAKingsFan Posted June 12 #1 Share Posted June 12 We will be on the February 9th sailing on the Celebration. Interested in any first hand knowledge or guidance on how and where to best enjoy the game. It's embarkation day as well which likely adds an additional degree of difficulty. Thanks in advance for any replies
nycruise3 Posted June 12 #2 Share Posted June 12 I was on the Vista for the super bowl back in 2022. It was harder to avoid the game than to watch it. Every bar with a tv showed it. Typically, the sports bar and casino bar get crowded for any game, let alone this pinnacle of American sports. Watching from the big screen on the Lido felt like the best location. You will probably have to get there early to get a seat, but I stood on a higher deck and had a great view of the screen and the wooing crowd below. The best seat is in the pool if you're an aquatic fan. Don't have to worry about getting a seat and can wade in the water with a front row view. Considering the game is at night, you will have sailed away at that point, so it being embarkation day shouldn't make a difference for viewing purposes, aside from fewer super bowl activities throughout the day.
bar1068 Posted June 12 #3 Share Posted June 12 We were on the Jubilee this past February during the Super Bowl. Having no vested interest in either team, we mostly ignored it, not easy, but did watch parts of the game on Lido on the "big screen" and also in the main theatre. The weather did not help as it was pretty windy and rather cool, which led us going into the mai theatre. I'd say Lido would be the "best" spot to watch, and of course it gets pretty crowded, but seemed just about every bar or lounge around the ship had the game on. The Heros bar would have been my first choice having watched football on previous cruises on other Excel ships, but that gets insanely crowded. We left Galveston the day prior, so did not have that added in, but with the game being at night, that probably would not have major impact. 2
mz-s Posted June 12 #4 Share Posted June 12 (edited) The game will be shown on basically every TV onboard, except in-cabin TVs. Edited June 12 by mz-s
Drazil65 Posted June 12 #5 Share Posted June 12 Heros lounge on MG was the best place when we watched, its crowded and you need to claim your seat(s) way ahead BUT what a great time! Did I mention its crowded? Like previous posted it will be on just about every tv on ship except in cabin.

jerseyjjs Posted June 12 #7 Share Posted June 12 (edited) I'd opt to watch it at the Red Frog upper lido tiki bar on deck 17 if I was going. Edited June 12 by jerseyjjs
Gumbo4Life Posted June 15 #8 Share Posted June 15 We have been on several Super Bowl cruises and as noted above there was never any problem finding the game, just be prepared to find a place that you want to watch it from. I enjoyed the main theater the best as it was easy to get a seat. Enjoy your cruise!!
