  1. mine is from mid-feb, on jubilee, so carnival must've just raised prices again
  2. i assume you meant vista class ship (panorama is in this class). i've been on both, and the balcony is about the same. you can compare standard cabin sizes here panorama 185/35 = 220 square feet https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5128 jubilee 205/44 = 249 square feet https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7973 as for the placement of the bed vs sofa in the room, look for the gray color coded cabins (these have beds closer the bathroom), on the excel ship accessible deck plan https://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/Ships/JB/DeckPlans/carnival-jubilee-accessible-cruising-deck-plan-pdf.pdf
  3. no, separate check in, for each cabin
  4. i'm often not at the MDR at night, and why would i be, if i can get a specialty dinner comp
  5. vista class ships have Havana cabins in the aft. only the cabins on the highest deck, have the privacy that you seek, since they are tiered and can see below to other balconies.
  6. I prefer cabins near front of the ship, quieter (avoid connecting rooms), near dedicated spa elevator https://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/Ships/CB/DeckPlans/carnival-celebration-deck-plan-pdf

  8. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have, because I went to talk to the casino host, on the final day of the sailing, and got some comps.
  9. it helps to earn some points early on, front load your play if possible on the 1st day or 2. your projected play for the sailing, will appear much higher this way.
  10. if i did not ask, i wouldn't have gotten anything. so in my scenario, yes, it does matter.
  11. my point was that it doesn't hurt to inquire at the casino host desk. i've gotten comps just by asking, on the sailings where they didn't pro-actively come to me.
  12. that sounds about right, for ocean view offer. you can inquire about comps, at the casino host desk. on some sailings, i've had experiences where the hosts came to me, while i'm seated in the casino. other times, i'm practically invisible, while playing similar amounts. honestly, they really don't consider what you're winning (or losing), as long as you earn those points.
  13. i lost all of my land casino status this year (caesars diamond, mgm gold). so far, carnival offers haven't changed for the worse yet. will report back if they do drop off noticeably, though i don't think they will, since all of my play is now going toward carnival.
  14. i never tried value plan (always got premium internet), but you might as well go with fastest, small $ difference per day
  15. I’m only going by earning on slots, which is 1 point for $2.5 coin in
  16. that is about 4000 points (at $2.5/pt), which is not much, depending on the length of your cruise. if you earn avg of 1000 pt per day, you'll get casino offers after the sailing, and comps by inquiring at the casino host desk while onboard.
  17. anecdotally yes, but no published benefits based on casino points earned. carnival does offer these casino specific sailings, such as premier, ultra, elite: https://www.carnival.com/casino/carnival-players-club/cruises
  18. no complimentary parking/transfers, nor shore excursion, that Elite offers. replaced by much bigger prizes (and hopefully more winners)
