Walking to Skagway Helicopters

For those that have done the helicopter tour in Skagway, I have a quick question. I’ve read that the helicopters are a 5-30 minute walk from the ships, depending on where your ship happens to be docked. I’ll have one person in my group that doesn’t get around as easily as the others. Has anyone made this walk or have any advice? It seems as though the tour company offers a shuttle back to the ship, which will be helpful, but we’re on our own to get ourselves there.

It all depends on what ship your going to be on. What ship are you going to be on? If your docked at Ore dock it's a very short walk, Broadway dock 15 minutes, if your over on Railroad dock it's a long 30 minute walk.

The Ore Dock is the closest dock to the airport and the helicopter pads. A relatively easy walk but you might ask the ship to help out with this if it is a Carnival shorex or the tour company if it is a private booking.
