YES!!  On the live/blog linked below, there are lots and lots of pictures, details, etc.  But, it was for that sailing from Mumbai-Singapore, 15 days in late February.   it was after the Silver Moon had circumnavigated around Africa with no passengers on board.

As noted in my various comments, most of the staff, food, service, etc., worked reasonably well on the ship.  As always there are always can be a few hiccups, including some management mistakes made pre-cruise by the "bean-counters" back in Monaco and/or Miami.  They did not deliver on their promises affected by the schedule adjustments.  That was not the fault of the ship crew.  That's higher management.  Or, mismanagement.

As with most cruise lines, when they have added so many more new ships, have had to do staffs shifting and after the Covid re-opening ramp-ups, etc., some staff members are super-experienced Silversea pro's. Stars!!  A certain number of the ship staff, however, are newer and not always up to the highest, expected skill levels.

Happy to answer any questions, provide added details, etc.   Tell me more as to your specific interests, needs, etc.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

Hello all! Just back from the lovely Silver Moon Athens to Venice (July 9-19). The ship is looking as beautiful as ever and is quickly becoming our favorite, although in total honesty we have only sailed on the Moon (several times) and the Muse 😁

We were fairly pleased with all aspects of the cruise. The food was good to excellent in all venues, with LaDame being top notch and SALT serving up some fabulous local Croatian dishes. The cruise was I believe almost completely sold out, but didn't feel too crowded in the public spaces. Obviously the pool was a big draw given the intense heat, but we still managed to find chaise lounges in the shade whenever we wanted. Our "pro tip" if you can call it that, would be to utilize the Observation Library lounge for pre-dinner drinks. It is a beautiful spot and the bartender Onur and our favorite server Husen took great care of us. Hardly anyone else ever there so we felt like we had a private party each night!

We thought the Shore Excursion folks were great, handling many changes with ease and being very reasonable about us swapping out excursions for different ones. The Silversea singers/dancers have improved since our Christmas cruise on the Muse - there were four singers and two dancers which makes more sense given the constraints of the Venetian Lounge.

Our excursions were terrific and the guides very knowledgeable and personable. I usually have a pretty blasé attitude about the excursions, expecting some to be hits and some to be misses, but each one was pretty special. Favorite port was definitely Kotor for the incredible sail in.

We had one night both pre and post in the Silversea hotel - the Grande Bretagne in Athens and the San Clemente Palace in Venice. Both were outstanding in our opinion.

Our only disappointment was that the cruise director was a bit of a dud. Trivia was not as fun as on our previous cruises. It may have just been the fact that the itinerary was very port heavy with only one sea day so we didn't have much chance to interact with him. But we do miss Vicki Van Tassel dreadfully...

Our itinerary was terrific - we loved the deep dive into Croatia with five ports there. As mentioned Kotor in Montenegro was the favorite but Corfu was a close second.

I'm happy to answer any other questions if I haven't covered enough. Hope you enjoy your time on the Moon as much as we did!

Appreciate this highly-detailed follow-up and report from Maureen.  Glad you mentioned LaDame.  Wanted to share from our dinner there during our Mumbai to Singapore Silver Moon cruise that it was a "Super Star" experience.  Really excellent food, awesome service, amazing environment, etc.  We were lucky that for our evening there, it was not that busy and this lack of crowding made things even better.  If booked full there, the tables are a little close together.  Below are a couple of visuals to help promote why this option might be worth considering.  More pictures on the full live/blog.

S.A.L.T. Restaurant is an alternative choice as a main dining. No bookings required.  Their main menu if local flavours changes daily or every second day, then there are regular menus that lasts about four days. Plus standard faves.  You can also request dishes with sufficient notice.   Just enjoy!

Hi.

We are on the crossing to Fort Lauderdale in November and can you please provide the name of the CD? Just in case he is still on board at that time.

Thanks.
