Flying out of Panama City is not great. Very strict security (which is fine), but then you get to the gate and have to do it all over again ( including dumping water, etc. Can’t leave the secure gate area even to go to the bathrooms without going through full security again. And very little space to sit away from the gate. Very annoying but otherwise ok.

was intrigued by your comment so dug into it and someone wrote up their experience which really sounds more unpleasant than any USA airport.
