double deck bus tours, st lucia

Hi guys, in a few weeks, will be on the Vision ots, an one of our stops is St Lucia, an an wonderin about the double deck bus tours there, is it worth it an what do you see, or is it just a bus ride around the island? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks.

It's a bus ride around the north end of the island. You see Vigie Beach, Rodney Bay and Marina, Reduit Beach and Pigeon Island causeway beach (not inside Pigeon Island national park, unless you want to pay the entry. With only an hour there anyways, you wouldn't have time to tour the ruins or do either hike or hit the beach inside the park, etc). 

It's a very basic tour, you don't see the Pitons or such, just the busy, well developed north end..

Not what I'd choose or recommend for the day, but if it appeals to you, it does hit a few highlights..
