What would you do?

Not only is it unsweetened, but it's naaaaaasty.

Yeah... the coffee is surprisingly good, but the iced tea is definitely some weird made from a mix that contains no actual tea concoction.

Since no one else mentioned it, my son loved being able to use his own card, especially at that age.  Don't be surprised if DS is on a first name bases with most bar tenders by the end of the trip.

It really helps teach children how to interact with service staff and gives the confidence to handle things on their own.  I suggest you keep it.

Mix half lemonade with half ice tea and it kind of balances out the drink and tastes much better than each one alone!  Half the sugar too!

Maybe 3-4 per day. At home he has 1 every week. On vacations I let him live.

same here, so I bought DS a soda package but none for us. I'll carry on some diet Coke for myself, since Carnival serves Pepsi products.

Would I be able to order for him and myself at the same time?  What would you do?

Yes you just have to have his S&S card along with yours, we do this all the time

Another alternative is those drink drops. Less bulky.

Question, how many drinks per day (soda) to make up for the cost of package, keeping in mind that you have to pay for package for every day, even if you don't use it.

He can also order different juices with it. When our son was younger, he wasn't much of a soda drinker, but he would get some. He would also get pineapple juice that he loved, which wasn't available for free.

The soda package is only soda.  No juice.

I know I saw a list recently of the available options for the bubbles package, and it only listed carbonated beverages (Pepsi soda products and Bubly), but I can't find it now.  It may list juice there because juice is free at breakfast in the MDR (including pineapple) and in the fountains on lido.

Nope, it included juices beyond that. Again, my son, just a few years ago, was able to get pineapple juice with it. I know the free juice on the deck, but there are other juices available.

I found it:

Beverages Included in Bottomless Bubbles Package
  • Pepsi
  • Diet Pepsi
  • Pepsi Zero Sugar
  • Caffeine Free Pepsi
  • Diet Pepsi Caffeine Free
  • Starry
  • Starry Zero Sugar
  • Mug Root Beer
  • Mountain Dew
  • Diet Mountain Dew
  • Bubly Lime Sparkling Water
  • Bubly Blackberry Sparkling Water

Again, I didn't say only the free juices on lido. Did you son get pineapple juice from a bar?  If so, I think Carnival needs to update their information because people are always coming at people on these boards telling them to look at the website ...............

Personally I always get Cheers and carry-on drinks for the kids because why pay for something you can bring.  Just reiterating the website.

I am with you. I got this package for my kid for our upcoming cruise, and at the time it listed soda only.

The only benefit I would think for your DS to have the soda package is if he'd thoroughly enjoy the experience of going to the bars and ordering his own drinks.  Or if it would be good for him to stretch his wings and become more independent.

otherwise, I'd just bring on a couple of twelve packs of soda (and maybe get him a custom tumbler made especially for the cruise)

my BF and I both got the soda package on our last cruise and at the end decided that it wasn't worth it, we hadn't drunk enough soda to cover the cost of it.  It would have been better if we had just carried on our own soda's for the duration.  (plus sometimes the wait at the bars to be able to actually GET your soda was sometimes an issue)

We have had Cheers for the adults and no package for our kids. We were charged for their sodas. We had a few instances in the dining room when we were not charged, but it was not the expectation. We expected to pay for them separately.  We did not buy the soda package because they usually only had one per day, either at dinner or in the theater while watching a show.

With you commenting that I’m planning on bringing the soda so whenever my daughter wants it can go in the room and get it, which she probably won’t even drink it because she don’t want to go to the room 😂🤣

Follow up to this as we just came off Pride today. There were no longer any freebies in the dining room, unlike in 2022. Every drink my son ordered was charged. Between sodas, milkshakes, virgin strawberry daiquiris, and shirts from the gift shop, he spent nearly all of our shareholder, promotional, and early saver OBC!

Can you get the milkshakes? Or coffee and tea ?

regular coffee and tea should be free onboard. The basic soda package does not include milkshakes, fancy coffee or tea. Did you think Carnival would include them in $8 pppd price?

That post is entirely about the PEPSI offerings, not an extensive list of bubbles beverages.

Each of you are allowed to bring a 12 pack of soda on-has to be carried on. If youi have a luggage cart or small suitcase to attach to so you don't have to carry. Prob would need to be scanned to board. That would be 36 cans so prob more than enough
