Copenhagen card

Recommended Posts

We will have virtually two full days in Copenhagen and have been looking at the abovementioned card. It seems like a good idea but I'm wondering if the fact that we will be docked at Oceanquay slightly negates the benefits.

Very much depends on how you want to spend the two days in Copenhagen.
List the costs for your planned activities and see if there is a reasonable saving when you buy the Copenhagen card.

Like any of these cards if you are going to buy one you need to structure your days around maximising the benefits.

We bought one in Rome because it covered everything we were visiting anyway.

However we didn't in New York (despite many saying you really should) because it would have meant spending each day dashing around and still spending hundreds of dollars to get the discounts.  There's enough free stuff in NYC we took advantage of.

I agree.  We have just been in Copenhagen and our activites and transport cost little as once we were in the centre we walked and visits did not justify the cost of a card.

It was different in Oslo.  I calculated our planned transport and admission costs and discovered we would more or less break even against the cost of a card.  We bought cards for the convenience on the transport system, using them on ferries and buses, and for museum entries.  We were not out of pocket but neither did we save much if anything.  There is only so much you can do in the time.  We bought 24 hour cards that sufficed for a 48 hour stay as they start from the time of first activation and end 24 hours later.
