Rare mac_tlc Posted August 21 Author #151 Share Posted August 21 (edited) I find the E-class to be quite the set of photogenic ladies. We changed the clocks forward an hour last night, so this morning very few were about when I took these pictures. And I think my favorite of this group….. sunrise at the Sunset Bar. Rare Scottishclover Posted August 21 #152 Share Posted August 21 Just catching up with your review. You’ve given me lots of wonderful memories of Aslaka. As always, fantastic photos. Sunrise at Sunset Bar…… very clever! 1

Would you say the Edge-class SVs provide more or less shade compared to the Solstice-class SVs. Hoping for a bit more of an overhang on Deck 9 since we are used to baking on the Sostice-class SVs. .😂😂 Ok @Stem to Stern, here are four pictures of the SV that hopefully show how much is covered. First two are the sides. The entire metal side panels are under cover. The next two show the chairs and lounger. In the last one I positioned them so that the arms of the small chairs are completely under cover. I like the SV a lot, shade, sun, wake view. What’s not to like! Well, I will tell you ——— it’s 126 steps to the aft elevators and 243 steps to the front elevators. 😳😳😅 Edited August 21 by mac_tlc

Rare Stem to Stern Posted August 21 #155 Share Posted August 21 Thank you so much for sharing. Great, great fun!! 🤩 We will be (look for arrow) here. Seems like our verandah won’t be as shady as yours. But who cares with the wake views and sounds. And yes, these E-class ladies are most photogenic.

We were part of the "original Edgie" posters with VT Cruiser... we cruised on her twice the first season..really groundbreaking!

Rare mac_tlc Posted August 22 Author #158 Share Posted August 22 (edited) Good morning from here: Yesterday was a sea day with a fair amount of sunshine. This morning, not so much. Arrival in Victoria is 5:30pm, all aboard 11:30pm. There was another Beyond the Podium talk about marine mammals and another today about Vancouver Island. We have enjoyed all of the ones we have attended. They add a great dimension to the trip. Captain Costas will speak at 10:15 this morning . That’s a “can’t miss” for us, we really enjoy the captain speaking events. Not much else planned for today, probably some trivia, casino donations and more Cafe alBacio! There is often chatter on CC about the terms of the Book on Board Book Later option. Bottom line, book a specific sailing within 6 months to retain OBC, book within 12 months to not lose your deposit. We will do one Book Later with one guest. Who knows, by tonight FOMO may attack me and I’ll do another😜. Good thing is the 6 month window will take us past the probable release date for the spring 2026 - Spring 2027 itineraries. We are fairly booked through April 2026 , of course I could probably squeeze in another ! mac_tlc Edited August 22 by mac_tlc

Rare mac_tlc Posted August 22 Author #160 Share Posted August 22 (edited) Having sailed 25+ Royal Caribbean sailings and now 14 Celebrity cruises, I see a lot of comparison threads. There are an easy four things that, for us, make a difference. One : Smoke free casino. This is numbers 1 , 2, and 3. I detest the smoke in Royals casino and their attempt to appease me on some ships with a smoke-free closet casino ain’t cutting it. Two: I like being treated as an adult…even if I don’t act like it all the time. Don’t ask me to scan my card for a towel… Three: While trivial to some, noticeable to me. Not a big balsamic fan. And, sure, you may find it on a Royal ship if you ask, more often than not they have looked at me like I just asked to drive the ship. And last but not least: Not a mystical, magical vegetable spread, but butter. A few random thoughts on day 7…….. mac_tlc Edited August 22 by mac_tlc 6
Rare mac_tlc Posted August 23 Author #161 Share Posted August 23 Well the bags are packed and in the hallway. We have departure group 38 — one of the last. That’s fine, let the crowd think a bit. We are staying in Seattle Friday night and heading home Saturday morning. If we get to the hotel too early we will have no where to go. Thanks for following along! As usual, it has been enjoyable writing about our journey. There will be some final thoughts once we get home, on Eden, Spruce Tip Beer, and other ship stuff! mac_tlc 6 5
