Live from the Zuiderdam - August 24 to August 31- Maine and Canada

We r on this cruise now also. Here are my top tips: if you are going to the casino, do so on the first 3 nights only. The payout gets poorer as the cruise progresses. Really evaluate any of HAL’s excursions. We did 2 and very sorry we did. Peggy’s cove is not worth it imho. The PEI excursion to the lighthouse and winery is very poor as well. Try using independent tour operators for a better experience. The food and drinks are good. If you like good wine, be ready to spend a few dollars more on each glass. Do not miss the comedy show, very good. The service is wonderful, all employees are working hard and they make this trip enjoyable. Get ready to stumble over scooters left in the hallways overnight. Oh, get ready to hold your nose when using the hallway to the Billboard and Rolling Stone lounges.

We sent out one of the $35 laundry bags, mostly due to a series of unfortunate clothing mishaps ....

We sent it off yesterday evening and they brought it back to the cabin around 2 pm:

Is that $35 per single bag? Do you know what "unlimited laundry" costs? (I know this question is asked a lot but I can't figure out how to ask for HAL only - I keep getting replies for all lines - apologies and many thank yous).

That was for a single bag - when I get back to my cabin, I'll see if we still have the paper with the pricing.

Dinner was great (again):

I had a half portion of the pasta as a starter - it was very good:

And the salmon:

And the lava cake with a side of vanilla ice cream (which it needed):

Unlimited was $73.50. we were able to fit an absurd amount in the bag for $35.

Thank you for getting back to me. We've been paying for this since it first came out. I don't know how, but we have a full bag almost daily 😯. BTW we'll be on this ship/itinerary Oct 5 - it's great reading your posts in preparation!

Unlimited depends on length of the cruise. For our 21 day trip, it is 178.50. You can check for your cruise were you order the extras on the website (beverages, shore excursions, etc.)

Thank you for the time and effort in posting this live from.

I will be on the Volendam in a few weeks and based on your menus and food pics as well as the menus I can see in the app, I am very excited to try some of the Canadian and New England regional additions to the menu!

We did a fantastic excursion today - Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre & Montmorecy Falls. We used our Have It All credit for it (because our Bar Harbor one got cancelled). I had really wanted to go to Montmorecy Falls.
