Malcolm142 Posted September 5 #1 Share Posted September 5 I have previously managed to see the port guides on the internet specifically for our forthcoming cruise (R421) to the Caribbean. I can not remember how I saw them before. Any body got any suggestions. TIA
bbtablet Posted September 5 #2 Share Posted September 5 (edited) post by Kalos in May 2022: https://www.pocruises.com/ports Post by Bazrat June 2022: The post by Kalos as a link we downloaded. It works really well, put in our cruise number and the guides appeared to the ports. I haven't tested yet but assume it still works that way. Hope this helps. Bernard. bbtablet Posted September 5 #3 Share Posted September 5 Othe contributions at that time: They don't provide printed port guides like we were used to in the past. I normally do a google search for information and try to print off maps for our ports of call. Good tip. You can get all the info you need on Google. SausPud Posted September 5 #4 Share Posted September 5 I use google AI Gemini and that will make a list of your interests, show them on a map and even recommend places near the ship port, even if you don't know where the ship docks, Gemini did. jh1809 Posted September 6 #6 Share Posted September 6 I've found the P&O port guides to be pretty useless and agree that you'd be far better off looking elsewhere.

I have found that the site' Your cruise guide to 1200 ports of call' is the best as it gives you info on all the main ports and attractions. It is not connected to a cruise line.

People used to criticise the printed port guides and the port talks that we had before the pandemic. As in the words of the song "you don't know what you've got till its gone". I agree that the current list of bars and cafes etc that have probably paid for inclusion is a waste of time.
