How would you book this?

Booking 14 day cruise that is actually two 7-day cruises BTB. Some of our family wants to only come for only one of the weeks. If, for example, I book my mom in a room for the 14 days, can I book one relative in the room with her for the first 7 days and another relative in the same room for the second 7 day cruise?  I think no - I’m aware I can move people to different rooms once on board, but I seem to think I need another 14 day cruiser “assigned” to the room with mom. (Please don’t tell me to consult a TA, I’m doing that too - just want to make sure we’re thinking all of this through.) TIA!

I asked my TA just that question yesterday, and she said it would be fine to have one roomie the first week and another the second week. I decided not to do it (for other reasons). She used to work as a FCC on HAL ships at at HAL headquarters, so she always knows just who to contact and how to arrange such peculiarities. Not sure every TA would. Good luck.

When I did this in 2011, the 14 day person (me) had two booking numbers, and the others all had 1 for their appropriate week.

This is exactly how I've done it - several times.
