Starting tomorrow Princess is suppose to implement the new dining format on all ships except for The Sun as it is already participating.

For those of you that are on a voyage starting September 14, 2024 ,on a voyage tomorrow that is already in progress, or have family and friends on a voyage.
Could you please look at this list of dining rooms to see if any changes need to be made or added? Just trying to have an easy way for passengers to look at what ship & DR.

Sending good vibes to passengers and crew.  Hopefully the teething period is short and doesn't cause too much chaos.  Would like to know table numbers are relayed to passengers for traditional dining; no more cruise cards so can't put them on those.

Even when they were on your cruise card the still made you wait and escorted you to the table the first night. Otherwise you would have a bunch of people wandering around a the MDR searching for their table

Are they truly going down to one MDR for the early TD seating? I'm amazed they had enough demand to often do two MDRs for the early TD seating, but I'd also be amazed that they put TD in the smaller MDR on many of thse ships with just one seating.

Don't remember that.  I remembered the bum rush, walking around searching for our table, and having waiters help if you couldn't find your table.

Anyone onboard since 9-14-24 , that can tell us how the new dining format is going? Like how is traditional working out or the reserve/ flexible dining room or the walk-in dining room?
Just wondering if it started on all the ships like they said it would.

So any first night cruise observations for the new dining? Like in traditional -did you have to wait to be shown to your table the first night and what about the walk-in dining room? Did you experience a long wait?

@BettyNL the only Live from that I can see from this week when the new dining started is from the Sun Princess & their dining room is totally different than the rest of the fleet, but moving around October 15, 2024.

What ship are you trying to see where the reserve dining is ? Perhaps others will post if they know.

Discovery Princess patter from July of this year 2024. This is the only recent patter that I could find. So perhaps the reserve collection dining is still in the same place even though the dining format has changed September 14, 2024?

but of course your patter/event listing will tell you exactly where it’s at once you get onboard. This is what I show  according to those that were able to reserve their dining. I know reserve collection you don’t reserve you just go in during the dining room times , no reservation necessary for those cabins.

Discovery Princess-2024 & 2025

Juneau( mid deck 5)--Traditional 5 pm & 7:30 pm

Ketchikan(aft deck 6)-reservable every 20 minute slots ( shared & private table up & including 6:20pm and private table only 6:30 pm on)

Skagway( mid deck 6)- walk in & Reserve collection dining

I am booked on Grand Princess Sept 25 - 29.  I requested traditional dining early seating.  I’ll check this thread while I’m on board and, depending on what’s reported already, will give my experience.
