I sailed the Enchanted for two weeks in late July of this year. I have sailed Princess four times before and previous to Enchanted, I have sailed the Beyond by Celebrity (I have cruised extensively over the years on many other lines). The positives: clean ship, excellent line up of entertainment including great singers as well as a full entertainment schedule, service was very good, and the itinerary had a nice pace to it with just enough sea and port days. Value, Princess has some of the best fares in comparison to their competition. I had the Princess Plus plan and felt I got a lot out of it and I am not a drinker.

The negative: the Enchanted is a high density ship with a lot of crowded spaces and elevators, ship had an inward approach where there was limited access to the outdoors from the public decks below. In addition, the decks top side seemed cluttered with high windscreens which made the connection to the sea less. Of course this is my opinion, I’m sure there are others who feel differently. Food was average but plentiful. I can’t say I had a meal that blew me or my traveling companions away this included specialty dining. Many dinners took a long time with one night being almost three hours. The dining rooms seemed busy and the poor crew overworked. Ordering drinks from the app was a bit more frustrating on the Enchanted with a lot more canceled orders than on previous Princess cruises. The stop at Princess Cays on our cruise was a challenge. It took about two hours to get off the ship and about two hours to get back on the Enchanted. Since she is a big ship the tender operation takes much too long.

In summary, I had a great time but personally I would not seek out a cruise on the Enchanted or her sisters, unless they had a unique itinerary. In my opinion, Princess delivers a better product on the Grand class ships of which I have mainly sailed on. Personally, the Celebrity Beyond is more my taste and offered a more superior Caribbean cruise over the Enchanted in almost all categories.

Thank you for that feedback - I appreciate it
I have cruised Beyond and Apex this past July … we’ve cruised Celebrity so much we feel like a revisit to Princess this time around feeling Celebrity have also slipped somewhat. Just need a change …

Many thanks !

I sailed the Enchanted in April and a few months earlier sailed the Sky.   I prefer the Enchanted over Sky mainly because of the availability of Crooners Lounge.  We found it often difficult  to find nice seating to enjoy a cocktail on the Sky.  I did not find either extremely crowded although there are some shows you must arrive early to obtain a decent seat.   It is hard for me to compare with what you have experienced on Celebrity as I just got off my second Celebrity ship yesterday and I have to say I was not blown away.   With that I will be on my second Enchanted sailing this December.

We’ve sailed on Enchanted many times and it is a beautiful ship.  We’ve had great crews every time, even at the end of a season where they were going into dry dock last year.

We have more reservations on the Enchanted.  My only complaint on this class of ship, also Sky and Discovery is the noise up on 7 from the piazza.  Games and bands etc.  We just relocate if it’s too loud.

It’s about the overall experience for us.

We have sailed Princess 50 times, both Royal class and Grand class. I definitely prefer the Royal class.  We sailed Enchanted in March, November and July.  The July cruise was crowded with vacationing families with lots of kids. It was a totally different vibe than sailing her in March or November.  I think you’ll enjoy a winter cruise on her very much.

We have done two 14 day cruises on the Sky out of Southampton during the past two years, most recently in June for Norwegian fjords. I absolutely love the Sky - it has become one of my very favorite Princess ships, and I have been on most of them.

We found the level of service and crew friendliness on the Sky was above and beyond. It reminds me of our pre-COVID cruises. The food was really excellent from the main dining to specialty venues. Even the buffet was great and afternoon tea is quite a notch better. We also found the CD staff engaging and the overall quality of entertainment onboard very good.

The ship itself is clean and beautiful with much to offer for any interest. I wouldn’t hesitate to book a cruise on the Sky again. We are already looking at options on her next summer in the Baltics.

We were on the Enchanted for 20 days last February and enjoyed it very much! We don't hang out by the pool area so can't speak to that, although we liked the hot tubs by (above) the Retreat pool. The food was fine for us and we loved our meal in The Catch! Didn't go to any shows in the theatre. I'm sad that they've turned Take 5 into more casino, there was an awesome jazz trio there while we were on...

If you don't mind booking a Guarantee room and it doesn't break your budget, go for a Deluxe Balcony - it has a love seat (and bigger balcony in some locations).
