Only one more work day to get through this week and one more next week, then I'm in full vacation mode! I do have a crazy busy few days coming up, though - isn't that always the way? I can't go full zombie apocalypse mode as my kids are going to be home and I probably need to leave them some food (if you know me, you know that I can't go on vacation and leave any food in the my house. A week or so before we have our zombie rations, where every meal consists of a mash-up of whatever is in the house).

Tomorrow I have a big training event, which should be interesting. It's at a hotel and there will be food and drinks. That's my kind of training. On Saturday at stupid o'clock in the morning, I have to schlep out to the airport for my Nexus appointment. I shouldn't complain as I really lucked out and logged on at the right moment to catch this cancellation that popped up. I was just conditionally approved 10 days ago and the earliest appointment otherwise was in February (that's when my kids have theirs). After Nexus, I'm meeting some old friends from my working days with Princess and we will grab brunch somewhere. On Sunday, I'm hoping to squeeze in one more brunch with @YVRteacher if she isn't sick of me yet...

So you all may just be getting pre-cruise food porn this weekend!

This sounds like our house before we leave on a long trip.  🤣

Remember how I said that I had trouble ordering my medallion for my October cruise? The app seems to think I already ordered it, but the order history it loads is actually for this cruise. Well, each time I click to try and order for October, the app adds another accessory to my cart, which I'm not able to remove. I figured I would just go ahead and "order" and hope for the best - so my order looks as if it's for 4 accessories, and no medallion. I didn't think anything of it until people in my group chat for THIS sailing started commenting that their orders arrived with no medallion but multiple accessories. DOH.

Up at stupid o'clock this morning to schlep out to the airport. It's not even like I have a flight and vacation to show for it at the end. This morning is my Nexus interview. I'm hoping it's fast and painless (this is just part one. Part two will be when I pre-clear US CBP at the airport for my flight on October 4th). Wish me luck...

I love that YVR is so easy and accessible from downtown Vancouver! Not only is it cheaper to take the Canada line train, it’s also faster as there’s no traffic to contend with. I left my house at 7am, walked to the station, hopped on the train, and arrived at YVR at 7:36am!

It struck me that since I’m a local and travel from YVR frequently, I never really stop and appreciate how beautiful the airport is. I snapped a couple of pics from the departure level…

Part 1 of the Nexus interview was quick and painless. Bonus was that the CBSA officer was super cute and friendly. There’s definitely something about a man in uniform (or overalls…IYKYK). Already on my way home with an extra large Tim’s in hand!

What no donut to go with you're coffee I'm from Ohio miss having Tim Horton's since living in Florida.

I do not love Tim’s donuts. Or their food in general. The coffee, however, is my kryptonite…

We are flying from San Francisco to Vancouver tomorrow morning and we will be on this cruise. Looking forward to a few days in Vancouver then getting on the ship. I love cruises, my husband has never been on one. I've only ever stayed in an interior room, this time we are in a suite. I can't wait. We have a Vancouver tour booked for Monday, and a Victoria tour booked for Wednesday. We have birthday reservations at sabatinis on Tuesday night for my husband. Other than that I'm not sure what we will do for dinners. I'm all packed and ready for my 530 am car to the airport.

Enjoy my city! It’s a beauty!

Saturday night on the Granville Strip! In an insanely overpriced city, Granville is where it’s at for pre-gaming! Basic cocktails set you back $13 but shots are $3. I bring you:

Triple zesty orange margarita

Triple jalapeño margarita

Long Island Ice Tea

Double Banana Smuggler

Double Classic Margarita

Double Sour Key

And the jug with shots is an Inception Bomb

Yeah. I’m Fine…

I see what you're doing - spoiling your husband with a suite on your first cruise so you'll never have to go back to an Interior again 😉

Does anyone else feel as if 3 weeks between cruises is just too long? In that time, I could forget the words to Sweet Caroline (that’s for you, @YVRteacher), forget how to Wobble (actually, I wobble far more than I would like these days), and totally forget how to get my shenanigans on Like I could ever really forget that). This can only mean one thing…let’s CRUISE again! Join me on a quick, kid-free jaunt down the coast on my favourite ship in the fleet!

Dang @ceilidh1 you beat me to making a live thread for this sailing! You don’t mind if I chime in every once in a while do you? I’m also sailing solo and was planning on reporting from time to time!

Has anyone else ever received this survey? I don’t partake in the casino, but was willing to fill the survey out. Unfortunately, the button was not activated and there was no link attached, so I wasn’t able to. Pretty much sums up Princess IT (Disclaimer: I know this survey wasn’t specifically sent by Princess but it’s their cruise I’m booked on…)

On this sailing with you and I also got this survey. I barely spend time in the casino on my sailings either. Strange.

You are 💯 correct. And my husband knows it and we are already talking about our next cruise!
