DB2VA Posted September 17 #1 Share Posted September 17 I have completed my check in and have printed my luggage tags for my October cruise. How am I able to choose my arrival time? Is this done when I print my boarding pass which I can't do yet. Thanks for your help.
kirkc Posted September 17 #2 Share Posted September 17 Your arrival time will be shown on your boarding pass. You don’t get to choose one. Enjoy your cruise.
CruiserBruce Posted September 17 #3 Share Posted September 17 What cruise line are we talking about? Asking on the board for that cruise line will get you a more accurate answer.

HAL ships start boarding at noon, with a couple exceptions...occasionally the Pinnacle class ships assign times.

And just a word of caution on printing that boarding pass... make certain that it has a barcode. This will occur close to sailing...
EtaC Posted September 17 #7 Share Posted September 17 Even if it's before noon, if they're ready, HAL will start check in. I recently did a cruise from Pireaus, checked in at 1100, and boarded by 1130. My room wasn't ready until about 1300, but I had a chance to grab lunch before things got too crowded. Since HAL doesn't generally assign boarding times you might have assumed that OP was talking about another line. In general, you show up at any time after about 10:30 and the porters will take your luggage. Check in will start shortly after that, then you go to a waiting room in the terminal until the ship is ready. The last thing that has to be completed in US ports is that the 'In Transit Passengers' remaining on board have to be accounted for, generally be parading them off the ship and thru immigration. When that is complete, the new guests can start to board. All it takes is one 'In Transit' to mess up the start of the boarding process.
