Bookstores (incl. used) near the cruise ports in Boston, Portland, Saint John, Halifax?

We enjoy browsing in bookstores. Any within walking distance in these ports?

In 2013 we discovered a book store in Portland ,not too far from the cruiseport Longfellow Books It had a very interesting selection.

I too would attempt to find book stores in every port I have ever been to.

In 1988 I wrote a book which has been out of print since 1990.Much to my surprise people tend to find copies in used book stores all over the US.
