Round trip Whittier to Anchorage

We are on Holland Noordam and want to go to Anchorage for the day and everything I see are one way?  What has anyone done?

I'm a bit confused here but if your ship docks in Whittier there are two rental car agencies in Whittier. You might look at renting a car for the day and driving up to Anchorage.  We've done that before on a b2b and it worked well. I did see you posted in another thread about the Sept 14 Noordam sailing round trip from Vancouver. That trip actually docks in Anchorage and not Whittier.

Not sure why you would want to go to Anchorage as it’s a long trip for nothing much there.  You would have to rent a car from Avis in Whittier.

Everything I have read said Holland docks in Whittier?  There are very few excursions in Anchorage on this sailing so hopefully they will add more.

Holland America docks in Whittier for the standard 7 day NB or SB cruises to/from Vancouver. Is Noordam doing the 14 day Alaska that is truly a 14 day cruise...not two 7 day cruises? If so, it probably visits both Anchorage and Whittier. At least it did when we did the 14 day cruise a few years ago.

Most Holland trips do begin/end in Whittier but that particular trip bypasses Whittier and actually docks in Anchorage. You should check with Holland to make sure but seems this solves your problem of getting to Anchorage. Looks like a wonderful itinerary.

My DH did some research this morning and did see we are docking in Anchorage!  Thank you for your help @Glaciers
