this funnel deck buisness is getting out of hand.. its just a few breasts guys.. if you need to see em that bad strip clubs offer some really nice looking ones.. and for the right amount of money you can touch em too... if i do venture up to the funnel deck itll be to get away from the crazyness around the ship maybe somewhere to layback tan and read a lil.. not to get some views of older womens chest.. because i highly doubt there are going to be any 20 year olds that confident.. but eh..

It's the perfect place to enjoy the day at sea. No kids, usually plenty of deck chairs available and quiet. As far as I'm concerned, one of the best kept secrets of the ship. You don't find too many empty "air-heads" up here, they get bored and leave once they realize "optional topless" does not mean every woman there will be without. A perfect place for me to wear my t-back without embarassing the kiddies or gramps.

The Norwegian Jewel has one. I mean two, the usually come in pairs.

Al Bundy once said that the perfect woman would have 3. The 3rd one would be on her back so you would have something to hold onto while slow dancing!!! LMAO

what i mean is that it seams out of character for Carnivals marketing image. They kind of play up the family aspect.

Not out of character at all. Carnival not only doesn't market the fact that they offer a top optional deck; they don't even acknowledge it on any of their public deck plans. For someone who doesn't read cruise message boards and doesn't explore all areas of the ship, they won't even know that it is there.

True, but they also play up the "Fun Ship" thing and everyone has a different idea of fun, so maybe they provide areas for everyone. The casino may not be considered a "family" area by some people.

It gives everyone a choice and an option, and it gives them something to do with the small deck...LOL.

Not all families are comprised of children. ;)

When we were on the Glory two years ago we were docked next to a smaller ship in Cozumel I think. I was on the top deck looking down on the other ship and noticed 4-5 women laying topless on their funnel deck or whatever it is called. A crew member saw me gawking and said that quite often the dancers in the shows will sun themselves on the upper decks when in port.
