The search function was the one characteristic that helped make the decision to change board platforms. Not only is that function needed by members researching cruises and other matters, that function also keeps counts on # of posts, permits Administrative functions to work and to ensure that all maintenance is accomplished properly.

 

You saw how bad things could get with a malfunctioning search engine.

 

To make matters worse, because of that we were unable to move everything (in some cases nothing) for 6 of the Boards, including Holland America's boards.

I am soo happy to be able to search again. Too bad much of the good information from the previous DB will be lost.

Exactly how does it work? We have not been able to find out two groups on rollcalls & the search by their names come up empty...

Yes, the search feature is GREAT now. Really fast.

 

hcat, are you sure you are searching on the Celebrity Roll Call board and not the Celebrity board itself?
