Best way to find a good experienced travel agent??

If you have a cruise only agency in your area, you could start there. Be sure the agent has actually travelled to Alaska. The cruises, tours etc, can be confusing if you have not done it yourself. Ask people you know if they have an agent they can recommend. If these are not available, you might try the cruiseline directly if you have made a decision. Again, be sure the agent is experienced with Alaska. If they are, you will be fine:)

Good Luck!

Unfortunately a lot of agents don't know a lot about Alaska outside the brochures and ship excursions. This is meant as no disrespect.

So in addition to your TA search, it will really pay off if YOU do your homework and learn all you can about traveling Alaska. Take some time out and read back on these boards. Loaded with plenty of accurate information. Head to your library, take out Frommer's Alaska and Fodor's Alaska, good concise tour books.
