Triumph Balconies

What are the balconies like on the Triumph. I am fairly new to Carnival, having traveled more extensively on Princess. Are the balconies covered or open. Is it different on each deck. How much furniture is on the balcony?

 

We are tyring to choose a deck, but want a balcony which is covered or partially covered.

The balcony cabin we had on the Triumph were covered. if you step to the railing your head may not be completely covered, but for the most part, there is a roof overhead.

Hi!

I have been on the Triumph several times in the past year or so...Always in balcony rooms...Verandah and Lido. As Daynab mentioned, the balconies are "covered" unless your really lean over the railing. (Of course, I wouldn't recommend that LOL.) Unless I am mistaken, all balconies with the exception of suites, have a small table and two plastic chairs....A lower to the ground type plastic chair, and a standard plastic chair.

The ship is wonderful. I have so many great memories of people and fun on the ship. If you can have 1/2 of the memories and fun that I have had, you will be guaranteed a great time. Have fun!!!!!

Don't forget to visit the piano bar.

The balconies on the side are all fully covered. The balconies on the rear are partially covered because of the slope. I probably have some photos, but I'll have to search for them - if you want to see them.

The best deck would be Empress deck- its between cabin space and away from public areas.

Our balcony cabin (Lido deck) was great. We could just walk down the hall for coffee and such and sit on the balcony to enjoy it. We had a small table, standard plastic chair and plastic lounge chair.

We have booked balconies on the lido deck. We wanted to be close to the pools, food, etc. You're not so close to everything that to be bothered by alot of people and noise are you?

We had a balcony on the Triumph as well. We had a BLAST on that ship!!

We didn't hear a thing. We were about 6 cabins forward of the elevators. I don't remember the cabin number. We booked the cabin as a guarantee originally then managed to get upgrades as price went down. We couldn't have done better as far as I was concerned.

 

BTW, the crew was absolutely fantastic. Especially in the casino.

All side balconies are covered. I'd choose the Panorama deck (10) if you can. Second best would be Lido (9). Both decks open onto the main deck, pool, sunbathing, coffee, breakfast buffet, etc... area, but the view on Panorama is one deck higher than Lido and there are no balconies above you for people to lean way over and look down on you if complete privacy is a concern.

The pictures in my above posting are from the Panorama Deck. As you can see, there is no way that you can see in the balconies below you. The only thing you can see is their heads if they lean over the railing like the two guys in my picture are doing.

We had cabin 1061 Panorama deck. We actually had the same cabin on the Victory and the Triumph. Awesome location. Close to the lido and close to the kids camp.

We just got back from being on the Triumph the first of May. It was our first cruise on Carnival.

 

We did not have a balcony, but to say the least, this ship was one (out of 5 others) of the best I have been on. It was awesome.

 

Whether you have a balcony or not, I believe you will have a great time.

I got some awesome pictures, but I am unable to show them on the website, but I have shared them with all my family and friends of the wonderful time we had on the Triumph and going to Cozumel, Grand Caymon and Ocho Rios, Jamaica, which I hadn't seen any of them in over 17 years.

 

Grand Caymon and Cozumel still have a ways to go, but they are coming along. Ocho Rios was just like old times with Dunns River Falls, etc. We had a driver that took us to out of way places, and it was awesome to see the sites we seen.

All side balconies have covering above. The aft balconies (which are larger) do not have entire "roof" on the balcony.

 

I agree with a previous poster...the Empress Deck (Deck 7) is a great spot!! You are between 2 decks of cabins and it is so easy to get to either the Promenade Deck or the Lido Deck!

 

The Panorama Deck (Deck 10) is also quite nice as it affords very easy access to everywhere, is between cabin decks and the only foot traffic is from people staying on that deck.

 

Standard balcony on the Triumph will have 2 chairs - one is more of an adirondack style (lower to the ground and tilted back a bot) and the other is a regular chair as well as a small end style table. The balcony has a plexiglass partial, half wall so when you are seated you can still see the ocean.

 

If you click on my photo link below and look at the album titled Carnival Glory Cruise - Tuesday, Belize there is a photo in there of the balcony. The Triumph balcony is the same except that the furniture is white.

 

Having a balcony cabin is simply awesome and I also think that the Triumph is a wonderful ship! I have sailed her twice and would go again!
