Sheffie Posted September 18, 2006 #29 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Explorer docked in Bermuda May 06 Ok why are my pics no displayed inline? Why are they links? On the top of the message box, did you click on the picture of a mountain, and then paste your link there?
codewize Posted September 18, 2006 #30 Share Posted September 18, 2006 No but now I see that it's the insert image function. All these boards are set up different. Most other automatically do that and give you the option to turn it off. Ok no big deal. I'm new to this board so live and learn :D Thank you for the help. codewize Posted September 19, 2006 #32 Share Posted September 19, 2006 OK now I have to ask how do you post such large pics when the size limit is 280 px wide?
zackiedawg Posted September 21, 2006 #33 Share Posted September 21, 2006 If you want to post larger pics...you have to place your photos online with a photo gallery site. Once they are uploaded to that site, you can then link the photos to message boards like this one. BEWARE: Some online photohosting sites don't allow linking, so you'll go through all that trouble only to find out you can't post your photos here anyway! Some common ones that are used are PBase, Photobucket, Smugmug, Snapfish, Kodak...etc. Lots of options. Many of them will offer a free trial account, which limits how many photos you can load and sometimes doesn't allow linking...if you pay for a site, you get alot more room and can link photos (for $23, my PBase account has 375 high-res photos in 8 albums, and I'm only using 25% of the alloted space...and can link any of them). Note: When you are posting a picture link from your site...you don't have to use the little toolbar icon at the top every time. Simply copy the URL from your site (make sure you include the whole URL including the .jpg at the end), and add in back of it with no spaces between.
