renata102 Posted July 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2006 hi i just found a link to a picture of the ENchantment pool area with the splash zone. Link will be at the end. I KNOW, children that are not potty trained are not allowed in the pools. BUT, the splash area doesn't look like its part of the pool and it seems the water drains. Can children that are in swimmies go there? Please I don't want posters telling me that children are not allowed in pools and how dare I foresake the safety of the others for my child. I am not asking for your opinion. Just the facts. what was your experience with that in particular? here is the link I HOPE IT WORKS! http://community.webshots.com/photo/403304089/1403427654046878319MbOusj
sailinglisa Posted July 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2006 When I was on the Enchantment October 2005 - non-potty trained kids were not allowed in the splash area. The water is not filtered and cleaned before being recirculated to the splash area. That is according to an shipboard engineer that I spoke to during the cruise. beachchick Posted July 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2006 There was a long thread about this really recently, but I fear it got too "heated" and was pulled. The answer is no on the swimmies in the Splash Zone. Just the facts. beachchick

crusinmama06 Posted July 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2006 Yes the others are right. So far the only other toddler splash pool I have ever encountered was Mickey's left ear on the Disney Cruise Line ships. :( I wish that RCCL would take a lesson from Mickey and add this small little amenity. It was nice for our toddler. It was separate from the main pool in that the water didn't mix. It also drained completly.
Schplinky Posted July 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2006 The splash area is a pool of sorts but it wasn't very interesting. It was one of the only "underwhelming" things on Enchantment.
ckrobyn Posted July 27, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2006 I would also think that because the pools are not chlorinated, it would be even more unsanitary for toddlers in swimmies.
