My first cruise was on the Ectasy, we had Cat 11, and no perks that I can remember. Up on the top of the ship, and the balconey isn't very private, people walking past just below. Then is was great, but since then I have experience many differant suites, and I am not sure that one is worth the extra money. But it is easy to get to and close to everything.

I love the Elation! It's a smaller ship than the Conquest...and sometimes, smaller really is better!

Actually its priority checkin-- you stil have to wait to board the ship.

Thats the only perk- the robes are all the same.

Once onbaord everyone gets the same perks--- even the robes.. If in an inside cabin you can requet them- they will not be in the cabin waiting like in other categories

Cat 11 on Conquest in March.

We received priority boarding and the heavier more lux. bathrobes.

Thats all I can remember.

I will be in a cat 11 on the Paradise in september too, but I have not been on one yet. From what I read, the suite on our ships will be similar to balconies on the bigger ships...as long as I have a balcony, I will be happy. For me, it's worth the extra money not to be in an enclosed room. I am sure you will enjoy the suite (and the location can hardly be beat)!

i'm with you, i need a balcony, don't like to be closed in!!!

i'm not sure how people do it but one of my requests to my dh is a balcony and he has agreed!!!!!! the only way you can get a balcony on hte elation is a suite so that's what was booked!!!

As long as you go in with an opened mind and please be aware that the suites on the fantasy class ships should not be compared to balconies on other class ships.

have you looked at cruiseclues.com to see photos of the suites? check all class ships to see all the photos-- they will be the same

All of the info, pics, reviews, etc. on Fantasy Class Category 11 suites can be found here:

Check through it so that you know what to expect.

It really is about the equivalent of a regular balcony room on the newer bigger ships, but with a little smaller balcony.

I still personally love them, and love the location, if you know what to expect...

The heavier robes were in our suite & must be something new. We have the older style we purchased a couple years ago for I believe $35-$40. We liked the new more lux. robes so well we purchases them at the Formal Ware/Flower shop for $65. (Conquest-March '06)

The room steward had the lesser ones available I think for $35-$40 and told us where to get the others.

Our friends balcony cabins came with the regular robes as they made a big deal out of the difference.

No, actually we got priority check in and boarding on Fantasy last Nov. We checked in in the Skippers Club office and then we were escorted to the front of the line for our photo and right onboard. We didn't have to wait.

The balcony is well worth the extra cost if you can affort it. I have stayed in only one Fantasy cat.11 room. It is on the top front of the boat and not private there is a deck below with people looking up at you. You will feel the vibration more there than any cabin I have ever stayed in. So for me I have always stayed in a cat. 12 on the fantasy class boat ever since and loved it. I have the Elation scheduled for myself 11/20/06 cabin U93 again. Great room super view center of the boat as private as possible on a boat. So if you can do the upgrade go for it.

As for extras not much VIP boarding, vcr, jetted tub, fridge and not much else. Still alot more room and a great location on the boat.
