MszKitty Posted August 23, 2006 #26 Share Posted August 23, 2006 I was on the Freedom in June, and there was not a pub crawl. If there had been, I would have been all over that! I made up my own list with all the bars on the FOS and made my own pub crawl. I was actually disappointed in myself that I didn't complete it. There were too many bars, too little time! ccxnola Posted August 23, 2006 #27 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Geeeze, in previous cruises, there was nothing like this! So - if we don't have one on our next cruise, I think I'll organize one!!
TheEngineer Posted August 23, 2006 #28 Share Posted August 23, 2006 I've never done a ship sponsored pub crawl, but I did a city-wide one while I was living in North Dakota. A group of about 200 people stumbled around the city to every bar in town getting plastered on St. Patrick's Day. To do this on a cruise ship, even unofficially, would be a blast. I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned about drinking on a ship. You are safer there than just about any other drinking venue. Some people could really stand to lighten up on the subject. If you don't like it, don't do it.
AJ's Girl Posted August 23, 2006 #29 Share Posted August 23, 2006 It amazes me that someone can ask a simple question and be lashed at like that! If you are reading the thread, and don't know the answer....MOVE ON! This wasn't a Poll!! OP - You KNOW I will be right there with you!
rachel_f99 Posted August 23, 2006 #30 Share Posted August 23, 2006 You know I'm right there with you too! But thanks for the lecture though English Jane, I was planning on getting so drunk I would've fallen overboard, but since you said those things, I'll be sure to never drink a drop again. (Yeah right!)

flyingpirate Posted August 23, 2006 #32 Share Posted August 23, 2006 We were on the NCL Dawn last April and the ship had a pub crawl advertised on the same night that a group of about 20 of us had a toga party planned........so we had a toga crawl ;) The CDs took us to each bar, where we could try the shot of the day (or your choice) , little glasses, get tickets. There was a drawing for some cool prizes later. We had a lot of fun and don't even drink.

SPGryphon Posted August 23, 2006 #34 Share Posted August 23, 2006 This is Mr. Big posting under Little Scott. If you cannot be nice and say nice words then please keep your thoughts to your self. I think the bar crawl would be a good time to get some pictures. I will be the one drinking a diet coke on the rocks!! And if someone needs help getting back on the boat I will be your escort, next to Scott's escort...LOL

That would mean they went overboard. :D :D But some may need help getting back to their cabins....if they can remember where their cabin is.
MszKitty Posted August 23, 2006 #36 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Again...if the OP was asking about a pub crawl on her Oct FOS cruise, she will have to make her own as the FOS did not have a pub crawl when I was on her in June.

wrp96 Posted August 23, 2006 #40 Share Posted August 23, 2006 So if I'm counting right, that's 23 places to visit whenever I finally get to sail the FOS, assuming of course that I'm sailing in a suite.

cruising forever Posted August 23, 2006 #43 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Be advised...........you may need to divide the roster of bars into 2 (or more) events.............. or maybe only 15 second stops in each pub! Momeof3 Posted August 23, 2006 #44 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Hi When and how do we find out about the pub crawl LOL just called DH at work and had to tell him. We would love to join in. We will be on the Navigator Jan 13th.
keylime27 Posted August 23, 2006 #45 Share Posted August 23, 2006 We did the Key West Pup Stroll last year and plan to do it again. I totally recommend this excursion. Lots of fun--good way to meet people. Also, as previously stated, you do not have to drink at everybar and they also offer food specials. You can however, have more than one drink. One is included in the price, but our group bought another shot or round at some of the bars. Be careful though, b/c those "crab traps" and "rum runners" can be deceivingly potent. :p Anyway, back to my question. Has anyone done or organized an onboard pub crawl on Grandeur? CruiseKeeper Posted August 23, 2006 #46 Share Posted August 23, 2006 I have a pub crawl in Key west booked for our upcoming trip. It includes 1 drink in 5 different bars with a tee shirt. I think the cost is close to $40 if I remember. The Key West Pub Crawl was a lot of fun! Brush up on your Jimmy Buffett lyrics, you're going to need them. MszKitty Posted August 23, 2006 #50 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Thanks I am going to make a list and map them out so we can hit them in some sort of order. You're welcome. BTW...this list is pretty much already in order from top of the ship to the bottom of the ship....then from front to back of ship. (excluding the Diamond Club which is next to Olive & Twist on deck 14 & Concierge Club on deck 10)
