maddea20 Posted August 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2006  I was wondering if RCCL gives you beach towels to use on the ship and to take with you to the ports or do you need to bring your own beach towels?
Ella2 Posted August 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2006 Yes, they give you beach/pool towels in your cabin that you use, and are replaced by your cabin steward. No reason to bring your own towels. :)
maddea20 Posted August 27, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 27, 2006 Oh Ok I was hoping so, thanks.
pmshirl Posted August 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2006 RC supplies towels on the pool deck. You have to give your cabin # and the amount of towels you get. Then when you return the towels they supposidly take your name off the list. I have seen people take the towels off the ship for shore excursions. They are not large beach towels! They really don'y watch how many towels you take, I have taken 4 towels and thought I took 3 and told them 3 when I got them, so there are ways around getting extra towels. I was on a Princess Cruise in July and saw someone after the cruise with a shopping bag full of their towels, carrying them to their car. It takes all kinds to make the world go round! pmshirl Posted August 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2006 I didn't get any beach towels in our cabin. They were available on the pool deck only on the AOS ship. I will check out the Radiance in Sept to see if we get them in our cabin!
maddea20 Posted August 27, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted August 27, 2006 Yeah because I don't want to bring a beach towel if I don't have to, but will if I have to.
Ella2 Posted August 27, 2006 #7 Share Posted August 27, 2006 We have ALWAYS have pool/beach towels in our room on RCCL ships, along with a laminated explanation about bringing them back or getting a charge to your account. I know that is the common practice on RCCL; I'm surprised AOS didn't do this recently, as I've been on two Mariner cruises in the past 8 months and both had this practice, as well as Freedom and Enchantment...all within the past year or two. You CAN check out pool towels on deck, that is true, but it's much easier just to bring the pool/beach towels you have in your room and return them to your cabin. :)
cb at sea Posted August 27, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2006 They're not the size of a "beach towel", but they are like really large bath towels. Ample for whatever you need a towel for!
Nliedel Posted August 27, 2006 #9 Share Posted August 27, 2006 On the Mariner last fall there were no extra towels on the pool deck. Some RCI ships have them and some ask you to use the beach towels they leave in your cabin.
