Don't know the answer to this question for sure, but I've been told that Celebrity will give you an "on board credit".......Does anyone else know if this is true?

I believe this is if you book your next cruise while aboard a Celebrity ship. If you do a search on this forum for "on board booking" you should find more info.

Will X honor a price reduction after final payment? I have a cruise booked directly with X have not transferred it to a TA.

 

When I recently checked the price for my upcoming cruise, my TA was able to get us the WAY lower price after final payment. We saved a TON of money. After final payment, I don't think they have to honor the lower price, but it's certainly worth a shot! It's true that we're sailing in the bilges, but it is a holiday cruise and higher cabin categories have been sold out for a long time.

Yes, we recently received a $400.00 refund from Celebrity for a price reduction that took place after I made our final payment for the cruise. The only exception would be a happy hour special because they only apply to new bookings.

Shop around. Despite what the lines claim, prices--and especially extras--do vary. A $200 onboard "casino" credit is essentially cash. Try that web site where CRUISE agents COMPETE for your business. That's where the best deals tend to be.

 

I agree, donno how or why but that's where I saved $$ over the X prices.
